About Us
Thank you for visiting Salem City Club’s web site. Salem City Club was
established in 1967 for the purpose of engaging the local community in
conversations, topics and issues that inspire all to be better informed
members of the community. We are a volunteer led organization and are
dependent upon member and community support to further our mission. We are
a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, incorporated in the state of Oregon .
Members of Salem City Club are entitled to certain privileges, such as
reduced lunch price at our semi-monthly meetings, a printed Membership
Directory and semi-monthly bulletin, and first option of asking questions at
programs. Non-members are welcomed to attend any and all programs, forums
or debates that we host. There is no fee to attend a program, forum or
debate.
Be sure to visit our Programs page, you will learn of the many topics,
speakers, and forums that we host. Our desire is that through the programs
we present fellow citizens will have the opportunity to learn more about
issues, derive a greater understanding of the diversity and complexity of
problems and topics facing us not only at a local level, but often times at
a state and national level. Ultimately we hope that members and attendees
are inspired to go the next step and become involved in issues that are
meaningful to them. Salem City Club-inspiring individuals in the
appreciation and activities of the responsibilities of citizenship!
